Should You Take Fitness Advice From Random People ?

YouTube Preview Image

Lately everyone swears they’re an expert in fitness. There are so many people receiving wrong information that doesn’t benefit their health or fitness goals. The first step in making a change with your body is listening to an expert.

If you’ve been training yourself for several years and your body still looks the same, that doesn’t make you an expert. Going to the gym consistently or going to a fitness class for several years doesn’t make you an expert. Reading fitness magazines every week doesn’t make you and expert.

What you watch on television and what you read in the magazine is not neccessarily 100% correct or true. At the end of the day, TV shows and fitness magazines get paid by viewers and readers. They will say whatever they need to say to keep you either reading or watching.

Always remember, what works for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you. Feel free to share your thoughts.

So true. Everyone is different and often needs a personalized strength and fitness routine. As people age, or accumulate injuries, it is even more important, even essential, to personalize training routines.
